I love using paper for texture over canvas and have had some success with rice paper as it is very strong and can hold up to the water, but still gives a nice texture. I love the colors of this piece! She is a dream and probably a good spring board for you to go with a larger canvas! You always have these wonderful ideas, Dianne!Kim Rodeffer Funkhttp://kimrodefferfunk.com/blognoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7748277869905059222.post-72846671752138408232009-11-30T21:30:49.034+02:002009-11-30T21:30:49.034+02:00Thanks, Carol! I loved rolling the colors around into each other. However, mine did not end up with that lovely focal point nor a focused energy that you have, Dianne. But it was fun. :)Kathleen Heberthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03933039813823809391noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7748277869905059222.post-39331619293978402012009-11-21T21:01:08.963+02:002009-11-21T21:01:08.963+02:00Dear Friends, thanks for your lovely comments. The image is nicely understated and so graceful. I don't know if you can get it there but you might really like the new watercolor canvas called "yes" canvas. They are very smooth and take the water media so nicely. Although, regular canvas seems to be working pretty well for you here! LOL!
