This tiny painting measures 8 x 8cm! I created this for a communal project, one of about 16 that will be framed together. I used watercolour, acrylic ink and thin tissue paper collage. I have never tried to create such a small abstract painting before, it has been a real challenge!

Hello Dianne,
This painting may be small, but it is truly mighty! You have achieved some wonderful textures and I love how the hues have melded together. I also find painting small a challenge, however when I do them as a group (so I am looking at a bigger picture) I seem to handle it better. This is really wonderful...do more! They work for you.
Dianne, I loove these colours, perfect spring and summer colours, cool and peaceful. Also love the new techniques you are exploring. xxx
You've packed a lot of punch onto this small surface, Dianne.
Gorgeous colors and textures! Love it that we are able to enlarge.
It makes me want to make art cards again, which I haven't done for some time.

Dear Kim, I think it really pushes the boundaries to change the format drastically - probably this is good to get the creative juices going. I have also thought that I should make a few little compositions, which maybe I can use to create much larger works.
Jaqueline, I am a typical ADD person, I get bored with any repetition and need to have fun with a bit of experimentation.
Hi Babs, ooo..., making cards sounds good, do you have some examples on your blog?
No matter what size you do Di, it always seems to be just Right! Another beauty!
Thanks, Liz!
